Hopefully I'm not the only fan of this great little label! No, you're not alone! This is very exciting for me - I've been waiting a long time to see this catalog reissued. I picked up a few of the original LPs at Jazz Record Mart in Chicago years ago, and love them. But I think it was around the time that the label was winding down, and I've had a hard time adding any more Spivey releases to the collection. Scott |

I can't figure out how to register my vote on the poll above, but even if I could it's hard to choose just one of the releases listed above. I'd like to hear Nat Riddles, Louisiana Red, anything featuring Otis Spann, Joe Turner...

I just discovered this little factoid
"VINTAGE 1040-From the Vaults" CD from BIG FRANK & THE HEALERS. (Recording supervised by the legendary Lenny Kunstadt of Spivey records). The title refers to the scheduled Spivey release number, but it was never issued.
